Pre-Requisite Challenge Procedure as of Spring '19

 

The only course which is in Astronomy which this may apply to, is Astro 8A. Here's the official process

1. A student initiates the requisite challenge in e-trieve. 
1.5 All departments will utilize this method, so no paper forms are required. VAPA challenges that require documentation or samples of artwork etc, students should work with the division office to drop off hard copies, or upload photos of the work.
2. The requisite challenge will be automatically routed to the division dean.
3. The division dean can approve the challenge or forward to a faculty member to review.
3.5 If the request is forwarded to a faculty member and approved, it will be routed back to the division dean for approval.
4. The approved request will go to the CESS Administrative Assistant (Terri Owen)
5. Terri will coordinate with a member of Counseling or an Evaluator to clear the course in colleague.
6. The student will be notified via e-trieve on behalf of the division office that their request has been approved. The notification will say something like this: 
The workflow package 'AR - Requisite Challenge; 0265838 McCarthy, Kyle' containing a document submitted by you has been Approved. 
7. The CESS office will also send an email to the student.
