Zooniverse Project - Dark Energy Explorer!

This project is to help identify very distant galaxies and not confuse them with nearby galaxies. The science team is looking for DISTANT galaxies and is identifying them by a series of images of the spectrum on the left side of the project pages, and a photograph of the area of sky (from the Subaru Telescope) on the right side of each project page.

If the left side series of images has at least a faint blip of dark (light!) in most of the colored boxes, it is real. An image of the Lyman Alpha spectral line. If the right side box has a big galaxy (bigger than the circle it shows), then it's a nearby galaxy and not what they are interested in. If it has a tiny spot, it's a distant galaxy and should be labelled so.
