This award, named for former Cabrillo College instructor Rosemary Greiner, who founded the Early Childhood Education program on campus, honors students who are deeply committed to working in the community to make the world a better place through peace and community action. My Astro 7 student Kurt Degregorio earned high praise from me, and from the awards committee for his many efforts on the Cabrillo Sustainability Council, in working with the Watsonville community to ban Roundup, working on a video interview for Climate Change, and for many others.
