Occultation of a 13.3 star by Rostovdon

The path goes vertically through Soquel, and mediocre rank, such that the odds near the centerline are only 30% for a hit. 25% for me on the western edge, and a bit less for Kirk on the west side of Santa Cruz. Cloud forecast says 30% cloud cover after the current front passes at sunset.

Results:

We had some clear-ish skies up until 20 minutes before the event, when clouds covered everything and I could not do a successful re-align (first align failed). It cleared, sort of, at event time, but the stars looked dimmed, so might have been impossible anyway. Kirk also apparently had an unsuccessful alignment, as the star field could not be ID'd. Or cloud caused star field confusion, he speculates. Karl clouded out, and Ted Swift was completely clouded and did not attempt. No observations from any observers.
