It was beautiful. It was a nightmare... it was... a-wash! The SCTC gang made their annual assault on the North Face Endurance Challenge series championship held at Marin Headlands. This year, the predictions all the week prior was that on Sunday morning Marin would be hit with a storm of "historic" proportions (see NOAA link). We all knew what they WANTED to say - a storm of BIBLICAL proportions! Well, it certainly was exciting. And enough to have the National Park Service order a cancellation at the 11th hour as the headquarters at Marin Headlands International Hostel was hit with high enough winds and horizontal rain to knock over half the porta-johns and crumple the famously tough North Face Tent. But we had the secret weapon - Diane D - who's positivity was unsinkable! So, run we did, while everyone else scrambled to save themselves.
