Chris Angelos and I attempted this occultation from Cabrillo College Observatory. The star was 9.1 but the path had us only just inside the northern uncertainty zone, so the odds were low. We did get the 10" Meade set up in a hurry and were able to watch the easy event visually with tape recorder. The result was a clean miss. No occultation of the star, the path probably passed south of us.
Result: Successfully observed miss.
