The Aptos High School Space Club was eager to check out the night sky with our telescopes, and I offered to show them what our gear could do. Tonight was an excellent night as most of the planets of the solar system were arrayed across the early evening sky.

Outside, we used the 8SE telescope to GoTo planets Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Uranus. Then on to the Orion Nebula, Bode's Galaxy, and the bright open star clusters of the winter sky |
