The odds of a "hit" for us are 17%. Not high, but it's such a high value event, and we'll be returning at this time anyway from another event, that why not pull off the road and try it?
Altitude 11 degrees, sun at -14 deg, so some twilight, but bright star and should be do-able.
Kirk and I remained after the Flammario occultation to try this, from near Pinnacles National Park under good dark skies. We both got good long recordings, and both show a miss. I got it recorded from 11:25:01 UT to 11:44:02 UT. Kirk from 11:26:00 to 11:44.
