This event has an unusual vertical north/south direction. The centerline is off shore, and the best most convenient site is Pigeon Pt, where odds are 82% of a hit. But fog threatens and in that case Locatelli Meadow at the top of Empire Grade is best, but odds there are reduced to 55% of a hit.
Kirk and I both got good data, Kirk a 7.5 sec event and I a 9.6s event from a little deeper into the shadow. We were both close to the eastern limit, so the lengths suggest an eastern shift. Karl tried and got footage, but the star and hot pixel fields were not identifiable, and no stars looked like they disappeared at the proper time.

I wanted to get significantly deeper into the path, but the path was mostly in the ocean parallel to the coast. The best I could do was to aim for Pigeon Pt. I was a bit late getting out of town, and settled for a few miles this side of Pigeon Point, one turnoff south of the entrance to Coastanoa.
