This event goes through Santa Cruz, barely. Odds are 50% of a hit for Kirk and I. It's not visible from my complex, so if I try it, I'll have to drive somewhere. It should be do-able from Kirk's driveway. Karl will have trouble, I believe, with the azimuth at 282, alt=30 degrees. It's in the heart of Gemini, below Castor and Pollux. 2.1 second duration, and 1.8 mag drop.

Kirk tried it; but at the last minute, got occulted by a tree! No data. I was dead tired and needed sleep. I decided if I woke up for it on my own, I'd perhaps try it but have to drive to a spot because invisible from home. As it happened, I fell asleep at 2am after getting a good positive on Joensuu, and woke up at 7:30am. No observation from me, or Karl.
