The Occultation of a 13.3 Star by Asteroid 1999 NU32

Nov 20, 2023; Monday morning 1:11am (OWc page)

An at-home occultation close to bed time, after arriving home from Karl's. The event lasts 1.1sec and odds from home are 48%. Karl has odds of 12%. Kirk's place about 51%. The centerline just misses our shoreline in Santa Cruz, and rank is mediocre. It's at the end of a busy day and ahead of an even busier day with the Titania occultation and the van pick up and packing etc... so, we'll see if I have the energy.

Results:

Clear misses for both Kirk and I.

Richard Nolthenius

I observed from my carport. Skies were clear and dry. Got a clear miss; occultation should have been a full drop.

Kirk Bender

Kirk observed from home. Also got a clear miss.
