This event is narrow and includes Karl's place. The asteroid is slow moving, giving a duration of a 1.4s, long enough that a 16x integration might get it if we're lucky. The odds are poor enough that I propose we just try it together with two sets of equipment, or 3 sets, and reinforce any sketchy noisy event. Alt=20, Az= 167 in Sagittarius inside the left edge of the 'spout' of the tea kettle. In a dense star field.
We all congretated at Karl's to try the event, and also to help Karl learn PyMovie and PyOTE and get those software's installed on his laptop. Success in that! But Kirk's app was showing the actual altitude of the target star was 15 degrees, not 20 degrees, which was a deal killer. But a bug in the app kept resetting it to current time instead of desired event time, we later found out, so the 20 degrees alti from OW was actually correct. Maybe we could have gotten it, but in the end we felt it was impossible at 15 degrees and focused on software.
So, no set up, but I'll give us all a purple heart for the efforts.
