This is a wide path high rank event with the centerline going through Santa Cruz. It's 23 degrees up in the SE and 2.0 sec long, and a favorable and do-able event for the Santa Cruz and South Bay observers. I hope we get a good turnout.

Alt=23 Az=128. The target is directly below Saturn, in the lower left outline of the 'water jug' part of Aquarius. It is right next to a bright'ish galaxy NGC 7723, a barred spiral galaxy of 11th magnitude and would be a good way to get on-target w/o worry about mis-keying in numbers of RA and Dec

This is another wide path event that all of us were in the path for. I got a ~1s event, Kirk recorded as well. Both of us from home. Have not heard from Karl yet.

I set up at the foot of my stairs, with a good view to that alt/az, got on target without trouble, and recorded the event. I also recorded the event on my SX260 camera off-the-monitor, as a backup, since I'm now re-re-recording over the same tape as was in the camcorder from Dave Gault on receipt. I could see the event on the monitor. Not reduced yet.
