This is a decent event, bright enough and high enough to get, but it just skims the coastline of Santa Cruz. I plan to try it from the entrance to Natural Bridges. Kirk's on the northern limit. Karl's too far north to get this.
0.7s duration, only 20 deg from a near full moon, but star is bright enough to handle the bright sky.
Alt=47, Az=122 in Canis Minor, above/right of the fainter top star of this 2-star constellation

I observed from the south end of Natural Bridges Dr, 60% of the way from the southern-most palm tree to the next (larger) palm tree north, on the west side of the road. Conditions were good, but passing cirrus came and went, and might show up on the video recording as variable star brightnesses. Whatever obscuration would be minor.

Pretty clear I had a miss.
