This event is a good easy 'get', where 2x or even 1x should be plenty to get high S/N data. I'd suggest Kirk try the Eco Reserve, that will give good coverage of the predicted path; north end=Karl, middle is me, southern side is Kirk. The centerline goes over Sunlit Lane I plan to be in Scotts Valley at Vine Hill School just north of the centerline, and Karl I hope will try it from home.

Alt=66, Az=194, high in the south in Orion

Fog rolled in to Santa Cruz, but I still want to go for it, and drove up to Empire Grade, planning to go as far as Summit Lane to see if I could get above the fog, as  the ZoomEarth satellite view indicated might work. It did, and at Pine Flat Rd I emerged from the fog. I went a bit farther to find a good spot to set up, with little time to spare. Kirk did not try it, and I have not heard from Karl whether he tried it.

Kirk Bender

Fog came in to Santa Cruz, convincing Kirk to not try for this event.

Karl von Ahnen

I do not know if he tried it, at this time.
