Strange night: had clear skies w/o fog even at Cabrillo Observatory, till after 10:30pm when I left for home. But by midnight fog was rapidly climbing in. I had to race to make charts since I got home late. It looked hopeless perhaps, with the fog. But after working to make the charts, and Kirk emailing that he'd drive as far as Sunlit Lane to get it, I couldn't abandon his chord, and I got things into my car and took off. Stopped for gas, but the gasoline was trickling out of the pump at about the rate I could suck it through a straw, and after just 1 gallon I figured I could not wait any longer, and it would be enough for me to get what up the hill. I did not want to go to Sunlit Lane and see Kirk there, and figured I'd have to continue on to Vick Rd, but that looks time-challenged. I emerged from the fog after "the Berm" but before the firestation, and decided I'd risk it and go for a try at the end of Pine Ridge Rd. It worked. I got on target easily, ID'd the field, got the recording going a minute or so before the event, had a easy 5s event at 2x, took a few pictures, and then 10 min after the event, suddenly all the air around me was below the dew point and fogged. I crept back down the hill in thick fog. Kirk had a similar experience. I was at 1800 ft, which is 200 ft higher than Karl so I assume he and Bernard were fogged out. It was 200 ft lower than Kirk, so I assume he got a good recording.

I got a 6.2 sec event for Eurynome, 1x at Sunlit lane. I recorded for 3 minutes, and at 1x there were a lot of points, it took PyOTE 10 minutes to get a solution given a min/max of 2/500.
