This is a marginally do-able event in a dark sky. Skies look clear now at 9pm so I plan to try it, from just north of the centerline on Graham Hill Rd.
Alt=27 Az=140 in Scorpius, just above the top of the head of Scorpius

Kirk did not try this one.
Skies were perfectly clear, cold, and a slight north wind. I hoped to set up at the corner of Graham Hill and the entrance to the Henry Cowell Redwoods campground, but there is a big overhead light, and the low target in the SE made the telescope point directly into oncoming traffic lights. I instead drove down to Rolling Woods Drive and set up on Ponderosa Drive 55 ft east of the center of Rollingwoods, on the west edge of the pavement. I had the head of Scorpio just clearing a tree on the far side of the street, but otherwise on a dark street. I set Gamma=0.76 to improve the star visibility at 4x, at the cost of brighter sky background too. The stars were twinkling rather strongly, but it was clear and clean skies. I disconnected the monitor for the recording.
Got a recording from home at Carbonera. Got a single 200ms apparent event at the correct time.
