The event is 2 hrs before our big Red Giant 5th mag event in the same area. It's tough. Only 0.3s long.

Kirk, Sandy, Bernard and I all set up for this one. Sandy at the entrance turnoff to Fort Hunter-Liggett, Kirk on "Cross Rd" off Jolon Rd a little further south, and then Bernard on a spur rd off Jolon Rd a little further south, and then myself on Jolon Rd itself. Only Kirk got data. Sandy had blown a fuse in his OccBox, Bernard had troubles, and for me, I had neglected to turn off my OccBox power after the Quaoar occultation 2 nights earlier, and the purple push button lights glowed only dimly, and would not power the Watec, VTI, monitor... I did not have a backup and was out of business.

I don't get a clear event for 1999 JP14,  Jolon road at Cross Road intersection, May 22, 4x. I wasn't far from the center line but the rank was not great on the prediction. I was the only one to get a recording on this. There is a single point drop near predicted time of 4:45:10 but there are such single point drops throughout in the dim target. Predicted duration was 0.34 sec, pyote detectability tool says "An event of duration 0.350 seconds with magDrop: 4.4 is likely detectable."
