This is a decently possible event if seeing is good. Duration is 0.8 seconds

Alt=28, Az=168. 5 degrees up and left of the tip of the spout of the teapot of Sagittarius

The target is very close to another star of similar magnitude. Might consider removing the f/3.3 reducer? Path includes north edge of Santa Cruz, up to Karl, on the northern limit. We should have a good spread of observers and get a good astrometry measurement.

I drove up to the cul-de-sac on Pineridge, perfect calm weather, moonless skies. Exposed at 4x.

Then hurried to pack up and drive back down to get into the path for the Lomika occultation. But, fog had covered Santa Cruz, though I did arrive home in time for a quick setup, there was no point.

Observed from Quail Hollow Ranch, with the SCAC star party.

I got a .8675 event for 1999 RB93, July 18, 4x integration at Quail Hollow with the Santa Cruz Astronomy Club. There was a star close by so I used a small size 11 aperture in PyMovie.  I tried several mask sizes, and got the best DNR and NIE results with mask size 2.0. The curve is noisy but I got a NIE sigma distance of 6.9. There were some timestamp errors, where digits were garbled on the tape, but they were after the event. I've since cleaned my camcorder with alcohol and put in a new tape.

Observed from home, on the northern limit. Got a recording.
