This is a faint star, but Alemannia is a large asteroid with a very secure path and includes all of Santa Cruz county and the SC Mtns. The duration is 13.4s so there's a chance we could get lucky and find a small moon. The star is W=13.4, the asteroid is W=13.6 (? V=13.8) So the drop would be 0.8 to 13.6 and so the combined magnitude is about 12.8
Duration 13.4 seconds. Alt=36, Az=195 in Sagittarius, 10 deg straight above the top of the Teapot.
Very nearby is the 8.5 mag open cluster NGC 6645. This is a good GoTo target to make sure your 2-star alignment is correct.

Kirk is out of town. Karl tried this from home and I from Pineridge cul-de-sac.
I was mostly pre-occupied with learning to use the AM3 mount with Will Glass, and time snuck up on me. With 20 min to go, I realized the occultation was soon, and dashed about to get the scope put together and aligned and get on-target. I could not reconize the star field until I instead did a Go To NGC 6654 and then star hopped up to the target area, just in time to get the recording started, but not enough time to optimally focus and set the brightness. However I did get a recording, and will see what I can pull from it.
