Normally, this event would require too much integration to give a likely detection for such a short event. However, it happens just 35 minutes before a more favorable event in the same location, just south of Moss Landing, so I will try both.

Alt=74, Az=82 in Auriga. target is still rising, so maybe can still get it w/o diagonal?? But, this may require using the diagonal to avoid hitting the base.

I was the only one to try this; from Jensen Rd south of Watsonville, but also a path width or more north of the predicted path. It was too close to the better Colucci event in time to try to move for each, so I set up for Colucci and hope for a north shift on this one. Surprisingly, I was able to get it w/o the diagonal but instead in the standard configuration. The GoTo was also a worry; usually poor for these 8SE scopes near the zenith, but I recognized the star patterns early and got on target. 4x it was almost steadily visible and I needed the time resolution to hope for a PyOTE detection, so I stayed at 4x.

I used 2.4px masks. Bright sky made it tough to reduce. Looks like a miss, but enough drops to make it unsure. I'll file as a miss and "unsure"
