This is a bright event and if seeing is forgiving, should be doable at 1x. I will plan to try from Jensen Rd / Hwy 1 slightly south of the centerline. The path does not intersect the 2001SM228 event 34 minutes earlier, so I will just have to hope for a big north shift on that difficult event.

I was the only one to try this. Kirk was in BD for a SCAC event, Bernard was going to try it from Cabrillo Observatory where a miss was practically a sure thing, but got involved with other imaging projects and did not. I drove to Jensen Rd, at the little out-structure I've used before on the north side of the road, about 1/2 mile from Hwy 1. I photo'd the compass long/lat. Skies were clear and seeing was good, but a bit of a slight breeze which sometimes caught the dew shield. Dew was a problem this night. But I managed to not get dew'd up. I got a recording, but it looked like a miss, at 1x
