This is a bright, easy, long event for all of the Santa Cruz Mtns in SC County, but not for Santa Cruz itself. It's suitable for short integration and moonlet hunting. I set out an icon  at Mtn. Charlie monument at Hwy 17/Summit, a spot I've used several times in the past. It has good horizons in the N, NE, E, SE, and S. and easy to drive to. Karl will be trying it from home.

Alt=58, Az=122 in Aries.

I set up on Glenwood Cutoff, just south of the "Red Realty" place, on a spur dead end overlooking Hwy 17. I got a recording at 1x. I didn't notice cloud trouble during the event. It looked like a miss while watching live. It looks like Kirk ended up being just inside the southern limit, with a duration only 1/4 of the predicted maximum. I was just a little too far south. No hint of an occultation for me at Kirk's mid-time of event. A miss. Karl also had a miss, from home.

Sset up at the Red Realty place.

I got a 0.63s event at predicted time for Mitaka, 2x behind the restaurant on hwy 17 summit. Target curve was noisy, but it got a 5.2 sigma NIE result. The fog was coming in as shown by the tracking curves but it was thin enough to show the event. The max predicted was 2.43s, so I must have got the southern edge and you two were probably too far south.
