This event would be easy, but for the 17 degree altitude in the NE. I will have to drive elsewhere to see it. Clouds are over most of the sky, now 1.4 hrs before the event. Drop=4.5 magnitudes, so it should look like a drop to zero level.

Alt=17, Az=75 in Taurus

Cirrus clouds made this one look unlikely to put effort into, but when there were enough blue sky holes, I decided to go for it. Kirk was out of town, Karl tried but it's a bad direction and he could not get a clear view. Bernard did not try. Mine is the only data.

I set up in the east side parking lot of the Holy Cross church next to Mission Santa Cruz on Mission hill. I got a view to the 17 degree altitude of the target in the east, through thin cirrus which varied somewhat during the recording but did not seem to cover the target area. I had to use 16x to get a decent S/N visually. I think I might have a brief event right at event time, which would be appropriate given the location inside the northern limit. But, I've not analyzed yet. My location was parallel to the extension of the wall of the building east of the Church, and in the parking slot farthest north.

Start: 2:06:39 UT, End: 2:09:47 UT

It looks like a clear miss on reductions in PyMovie.
