This is a new on on the OW listing. Sorry for getting it posted only 8 hrs prior. The path centers over UCSC and just south of Karl. I plan to try it from Graham Hill Rd near Treetop Drive. Altitude is good, and duration is 0.6s so setting at 1x and lowering gain should be the right choice

Clear dark skies for all.
I set up in the vacant lot on TreeTop Ln just off Graham Hill Rd north of the 7/11 store. I was 70' from the edge of the road. For the first time, I tried to send the video stream both to the Lenovo computer and to the MV430i camcorder. The camcorder came on and immediately said "tape heads dirty. Use tape head cleaner". On playback, however, the tape plays just fine. BUT, in my rush, I'd not considered that the microphone I use was not connected to the 3-line jack to the camcorder, and so I got no sound. The video to the computer was good, so the science was gotten. On playback it looked like a ~0.6s event.

This may be the highest S/N event ever, for me. DNR = 10.39, and NIE test was 281.6 sigma! That's what a magnitude 6.9 star will do for you.

Set up at the old barn at UCSC. Initial look was a miss
Set up at home, got an estimated 1/4s occultation.
