Bright star, good altitude, rank is not great but RUWE is OK. It's in the west so not do-able from home for me, and I will try it from California Street at Neary Park. Small asteroid, only 0.3s duration but should be able to do it at 1x. At home I'm on the northern limit. Nowhere near Karl, unfortunately.

Alt=46, Az=271 in Gemini, only 5 degrees from the near full moon, so this will take some care to ID the star field

The sky developed thin clouds moving quickly. Low altitude clouds. Fatal for trying to see a star that close to the full moon. I set up at California St/Neary Park entrance, and got the 2-star alignment OK, but never could see on the computer screen any stars this close to the moon. The GoTo seemed decent, but the sky was just way too bright around the moon, even for a 9.6 star. I got no data.

For 2002 ER74 on Jan. 30 I got a miss for the 8SE Watec, and a positive for the Astrid 80mm.

For station #1, the 8SE, at Bonny Doon beach parking lot on hwy 1, 1x, no apparent event. High thin clouds were moving in, and the target was only 3.5deg from a 91% Moon, but the target was visible through the recording. PyOTE detectability tool reported an event as short as 0.40s would likely be detectable, max predicted was 0.31s.

For station #2, the 80mm with Astrid at home, 30fps (2x), I wasn't there but apparently it was clear enough, I got a 0.2665 event.
With the wide field there was a lot of glare from the moon above and not much contrast but there was an event near the predicted time and duration.

NIE sigma distance is 4.0.
