This is a high value event; a GaiaMoons asteroid and with a prediction that a moon will be detected 30-50 km north of the centerline of the main body. To optimize getting both primary and secondary, set up near but inside the northern limit of the main body.
RUWE=1.15 which is good. Target is only 10 degrees from a 51% waxing moon in Gemini. Cirrus clouds could be a killer.
Alt=49 degree in west
I'm tentatively planning on trying this from just south of Dixon. Ted Swift may have more advice. Wind at that area so close to the Straits is a worry. The problem is I have an important meeting with the Dean and with I.T. that afternoon, ending at 4pm, and so we'll have limited time to get out to our site, during rush hour. We'll have to leave straight from Cabrillo to minimize drive to to the site.
