This event is bright and reasonably long and should be easy. The only problem is that the rank isn't that great, so the odds of a miss are about 50/50 even near the centerline.
Alt=35, Az=170 in Sagittarius, near NGC 6645 open cluster mag 8.5; 9 deg above the tippy top of the teapot lid of Sagittarius.

Looks like a miss for Davidmonge, 2x from home August 1st. Not surprising, the rank was not good and I was not far from the path limit. There's some interesting waves in the tracking stars, periodicity on the order of 20-30 sec., it looked clear but the seeing must not have been great. PyOTE detectability tool reports an event as short as 0.14s would likely be detectable, max predicted was 0.91s.
