This is a good event, quite doable, has a great RUWE=0.95, and a good prospect of discovering the suspected moon of Kodai. The path is closest to us at Watson Park, but in the middle of the city. And at Henry Cowell State Park. The only bad is that it's only 14 deg from the 78% waxing moon. But mag 12.7 is good enough to not be too bothered by this.
Google Maps on Thur eve said 44 min from my place to the park. I'd suggest that Kirk and I, or perhaps Danika and I if Kirk doesn't come, would set up together. The main goal is to detect the moonlet, and given David H penchant for throwing away detections, having two detections close together would be an advantage; also more convenient.
Google.ai (Gemini) says the size of the possible moon ranges from small to equal to the primary, giving moonlet occultation times of between 0.22s to 1.2s duration. The estimated distance between primary and moonlet is 9 diameters of the 8.3km primary.
