This is a decently bright event in a dark sky with good weather predicted, and a good rank. My plan is to go running this afternoon, and then drive to Canham Rd in northern Scotts Valley for the event when I get off the trails in Fall Creek.

Alt=33, Az=192 in Sagittarius, just 1/2 degree east of 5th mag open cluster M23. Easy to find

I was the only one to try this; right after my Fall Creek run of 12 miles, I drove straight to Canham Rd and the parking lot for the Glenview Open Space, as I've used before. Weather was perfect; calm, no clouds, no moon. I got on target and recorded at 2x, and the usual Gain=41. It looked like a miss as I watched, but a short event might be missed by eye.
