Late winter heavy rains made for a once-in-a-generation wildflower season in SoCal. The flowers in the Gorman area were as incredible as in the legendary 1982 wildfires + El Nino year (some day I'll scan and post my pix from a classic UCLA Sierra Club trip I led back then). This wasn't an official photo workshop. Instead, I drove through here on the way back from a weekend of fine dining at friend Kent's Acton backcountry cabin.
I know you're wondering... No, I did not pump up the colors on these photos. I've run them through Photoshop, but only to get the levels and cropping just right.
