These trips, organized by author and photographer Dave Wyman, are designed for families, taking them to beautiful locations in California so parents and kids can explore together the best of nature. When my schedule permits, I bring along telescopes, laser pointer, and binoculars to show off the constellations, planets and star clusters of the night sky. I get a big kick watching the thrill of youngsters who see the craters of the moon, the rings of Saturn, and other wonders for the first time with their own eyes.
