"HowTo" reductions using LiMovie and Occular

Video Photometry using Tangra

Listed are events for which tax-deductable expenses were incurred. The list is incomplete for events prior to 2003

A list of reported asteroid occultation results up to 2005 over the years has been compiled by David Dunham. A few of my own observations are still buried in my old tapes and records (but all definite occultation events are reported, except Alauda below). All successfully observed actual occultations are flagged by an asterisk and italics below.

For reference, here's a way to use a WinPC and VCR to reduce video / audio tapes of occultations. And here's some thoughts on the the "perfect occultation scope". And here's "Kiwi Geoff"'s page on his new video time inserter. Reduced profiles of asteroid shapes from asteroid occultations here. David Dunham has a compilation of asteroid occultation reports, both occultations and misses, here. Advance information on the most favorable asteroid occultations for the rest of the current year and not yet included on Steve Preston's page, is shown here. A software package for reducing videos of occultations is Limovie. Ed Morana has posted .wmv video sequences of many of his observed asteroid occultations, so you can see what they look like.
